Bangladeshi Correction Society (BCS) was founded in 2018 by a group of Bangladeshi correction officers in New York USA to share common interests in the department.The BCS is committed to empowering, supporting, educating, and developing its members, and to assisting and communicating with the community. The BCS helps members to understand and follow the Department’s rules and regulations, and to stay up-to-date on new practices and procedures.
The Bangladeshi Correction Society (BCS) also helps to recruit more Bangladeshi Americans into law enforcement, and to assist members in achieving their professional goals. The BCS is also committed to promoting cultural diversity and awareness within law enforcement, and to understanding and communicating between the Department and the community.
Membership fee: $50.00/year
BCS Activities:
- host discussion session on topics such as the Department’s rules and regulations, cultural diversity, stress management etc
- help to recruit more Bangladeshi Americans into law enforcement
- provide financial assistance to members who are in need
- organize community events to promote understanding between the Department and the community
