The Bangladeshi Correction Society (BCS) was founded in 2018 as a not-for-profit organization (DOS #5476807) by a group of Bangladeshi-American correction officers in New York, USA. It aims to foster camaraderie among its members. Committed to empowering, supporting, educating, and developing its members, the BCS also provides assistance and communication with the community. The BCS helps members understand and comply with the Department’s rules and regulations, ensuring they stay informed about new practices and procedures.
The Bangladeshi Correction Society (BCS) also helps to recruit more Bangladeshi Americans into law enforcement and assists members in achieving their professional goals. The BCS is committed to promoting cultural diversity and awareness within law enforcement and understanding and communication between the Department and the community.
Membership fee: $50.00/year
BCS Activities:
- Host discussion sessions on topics such as the Department’s rules and regulations, cultural diversity, stress management, etc
- Help to recruit more Bangladeshi Americans into law enforcement
- Provide financial assistance to members who are in need
- Organize community events to promote understanding between the Department and the community
