Bangladesh Medical Association of North America – California Chapter (BMANA-CA) is a non-profit organization of doctors and physicians of Bangladeshi origin living in California, USA. The association promotes health, education, culture, fraternity, and charitable work among Bangladeshi medical professionals and the wider community.
Mission
- Healthy Community Building: Bangladesh Medical Association of North America – California aims to build healthy communities by providing health information, organizing fairs, and offering free advice.
- Professional Development: Annual medical education sessions enhance professional skills. Telehealth initiatives aim to share expertise with underprivileged populations in Bangladesh and Kenya.
- Career Development for Young Physicians: Mentors young physicians in residency applications, interview skills, clinical rotations, and research opportunities.
- Medical Mission: BMANA-CA, in partnership with Hope Foundation, organizes medical camps in Bangladesh to support refugees. The medical mission team includes US-based physicians, medical students, and volunteers.
- Physicians Networking: Collaborate to support Bangladeshi physicians, fostering camaraderie and sharing medical advancements. They actively participate in educational initiatives, community healthcare, and charitable endeavors.
