Soviet Alumni Association of Bangladeshi Origin USA (Previously know as Soviet Alumni Association, Bangladesh-USA Chapter) is an alumni of Bangladeshi professionals who graduated from or attended in any institution of the former Soviet Union/Commonwealth of Independent States. The association was founded in 2010 to provide a meetup platform for Bangladeshi graduates of Ex-Soviet institutions living and working in USA, specially in New York City. The alumni is based in Long Island, New York. The association is a not-for-profit and members works on volunteer basis.
The principal purpose of the Soviet Alumni Association of Bangladeshi Origin USA is to
- bring all ex-soviet graduates under the organization, establish link among all and build friendships
- help each other in terms of professional, cultural and personal development
- observe important national and international events (Women’s Day, May Day, etc.)
- participate in intellectual discussion and meetings
- provide opportunity to do social and voluntary services
- keep communication with other Bangladeshi alumni and social associations
- information exchange on the development of ex-Soviet states etc.
