Bangladesh Medical Association of North America – New York Chapter or BMANA-NY is a scientific, educational, cultural, and charitable entity organized by physicians and dentists of Bangladeshi origin. It has been one of the chapter organizations of the Bangladesh Medical Association of North America (BMANA) since 1992.
Objectives of BMANA-NY
- To bring together and improve communication between physicians of Bangladeshi origin who have trained in various Medical and Dental colleges in Bangladesh and are currently residents of New York and New Jersey.
- To assist medical students and physicians in obtaining specialized medical training and post-training job placement in North America.
- To institute and provide specific services to meet the needs of the members of the association and the Bangladeshi Physicians community in North America.
- To conduct seminars and other educational programs that will acquaint members of New York and New Jersey-based physicians with recent developments in the field of medicine.
- To render medical assistance to the indigent and minority population in New York, New Jersey, North America, and Bangladesh whenever possible.
- Guide the future Bangladeshi American generation exploring medical careers.
