USA Awami League is a political organization which exclusively support Bangladesh Awami League. The organization represents party’s interest in the USA. It regularly disseminates information, organizes party events for non-resident Bangladeshis who believes in and supports Bangladesh Awami League. As an extension of Bangladesh Awami League, USA Awami League actively coordinate and vanguard party’s interest aligned with the interest of USA. USA Awami League has no permanent office in USA, however, the organization utilizes residential or business addresses of its members and supporters.
USA Awami League organizes events that are important to Bangladesh Awami League such as Birthday of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Sheikh Hasina, National day of Mourning, Return of Bangabondhu to Bangladesh, etc. It organizes reception, meeting and discussion events with visiting leaders of Bangladeshi Awami League in USA. It also organizes or participates in important national events of Bangladesh that are observed by Bangladeshi community living in New York.
