Bangladesh Association of Delaware Valley (BADV) is a non-profit organization, serving the Bangladeshi communities residing in Philadelphia, Delaware, Maryland, and South Jersey metropolitan areas since 1971. The organization is a not-for-profit organization and is open to all persons of Bangladesh origin and anyone who is interested in furthering the objectives of Bangladesh Association of Delaware Valley. Membership is the principal source of funds for most of the BADV’s events and programs. There are two kinds of membership: family and life. Life membership costs $300.00. An annual fund raising event held to get additional financial support.

Bangladesh Association of Delaware Valley run by an executive team consists of one President, two Vice-Presidents, one General Secretary, one Treasurer, one Social Secretary, one Cultural Secretary and four executive members. The executive team is elected every two years of the members of the association.

The mission of Bangladesh Association of Delaware Valley is

  • to enrich the social and cultural life of persons of Bangladesh origin residing in the Delaware Valley,
  • to disseminate art, literature, and culture of Bangladesh,
  • to stimulate interest in economic, social, and other developments in Bangladesh,
  • to educate younger generation of the rich history, culture, and diversity of their Bangladeshi ancestry,
  • to develop and spread goodwill among the American people.
