Bangladeshi Medical Association of North America

The Bangladeshi Medical Association of North America (BMANA) is a nonpolitical, nonprofit organization for medical professionals of Bangladeshi descent in the USA, Canada, and Mexico. Founded in 1981 in Michigan, it is a registered 501(c)(3) organization with 15 chapters across the United States.

Key Activities & Publications

BMANA’s mission is to unite physicians of Bangladeshi origin and provide a platform for networking, training, and placement in North America.

• Annual National Convention: A yearly event blending educational, cultural, social, and humanitarian activities.
• Publications: It publishes the BMANA Newsletter and the online BMANA Journal for academic and research papers.
• Humanitarian Efforts: The BMANA Disaster Fund, established in the mid-1990s, provides grants for educational and humanitarian medical projects.
• BMANA Alliance Committee: Open to spouses of members to promote charitable, educational, and cultural enrichment.

• Vision: To be a leading professional organization that champions the needs of physicians, dentists, and academicians, fostering camaraderie and providing charitable services in North America and abroad.
• Mission: To improve communication among members, assist with training and job placement, provide services to the community, conduct educational programs on new medical developments, and offer medical assistance to indigent people.
