Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University Alumni Association of USA (SAUAA) is an organization of ex-students of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University of Bangladesh who are currently living in USA. The association is a non-profit, non-political and non-religious agricultural science and education oriented welfare and voluntary professional organization. Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University Alumni Association (SAUAA) is based in New York City as most of its members are located in five boroughs of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. SAUA is run by an executive committee elected by its members.
SAUAA alumni was founded with following purpose:
(a) To foster cooperation and collaboration amongst SAUAA graduates residing in the United States of America.
(b) To build and maintain relations with other agricultural and related professional In the United States of America and Bangladesh.
(c) To help establish newly migrated agriculture graduates from Bangladesh and aid them in adjusting to life in the United States of America by providing guidance regarding jobs, education, housing, etc.
(d) To support and encourage the development of agricultural profession and related educational fields in Bangladesh and in the United States of America.
(e) To develop and conduct programs aimed at improving the professional standards of the members of the Association.
(f) To promote a welfare fund for emergency help to members’ family in case of need.
(g) To protect the professional interests of members of the Association.
(h) To organize social, cultural and educational programs in order to enhance the friendly relationship and cooperation among the members and their families.
(i) To protect the national interest of Bangladesh and promote cooperation between Bangladesh and the United States of America in all possible areas for the mutual benefit of both the countries.
