Bangladesh Youth Movement (BYM) is a UK based youth organization of Bangladeshi origin. Founded in 1985, Bangladesh Youth Movement’s main focus is to guide the Bangladeshi community to integrate and engage with the mainstream British society. The organization has fought against racism, prejudice, stereotype, discrimination against Bangladeshi community as well as other communities. BYM adjusted its strategies with changing social and political realities of United Kingdom, but always remain focused to develop young Bangladeshi as a productive member of society. By addressing the communities need, BYM has gained valuable experience on how to serve Bangladeshi community more effectively.

BYM has gravitated towards delivery of projects in housing, training and employment, sports, heritage and regeneration. At different points in their historical trajectory they responded to immediate needs whether it referred to planning issues or one of community cohesion. Whatever the issue the organizational thrust was clearly defined by their intimate links with the local communities at a neighborhood level.
