This year’s 8th annual Bangladesh Festival Canada is scheduled at the Toronto Pavilion on Saturday, May 17. The festival aims to unite the Bangladeshi-Canadian community and strengthen connections. It showcases Bangladeshi and Canadian products, services, tourism, and culture. Additionally, the festival recognizes outstanding contributions to Bangladesh and the Bangladeshi-Canadian community. Furthermore, it promotes Bangladeshi heritage and educates non-resident Bangladeshis. Lastly, the festival seeks to enhance bilateral business and cultural relations between Bangladesh and Canada.

Toronto Bangla Book Fair 2024

The 18th annual Toronto Bangla Book Fair of 2024 will be held at Danforth Avenue, a prominent hub for the Bangladeshi community, business, and cultural activities. This year’s Book Fair, known as Boimela, will feature a wide range of programs, including discussions on Bangla literature and writers, cultural performances such as music, dance, recitation, new book introductions, and interviews. The Toronto Bangla Book Fair aims to preserve and promote the Bangla language and tradition for new generations of Canadian-Bangladeshi children and bring the culture to the broader Canadian community.

BACAOV Bangla New Year Celebration 2025

The Bangladesh Canada Association of Ottawa Valley (BACAOV) will celebrate the Bangla New Year (Baisakhi) of 1432 at Notre-Dame-des-Champs in Ottawa on Sunday, April 13. This festive event will offer a delightful blend of fun and cultural activities for both adults and children. Additionally, vendors will be selling a variety of Bangladeshi merchandise. The celebration will also mark the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

The event is family-friendly, free, and open to all.

Canada Ekushey Bangla Book Fair 2024

Canada Ekushey Bangla Book Fair 2024  – a celebration of the Bangla language and culture – will be held on Sunday, February 18, at Lucien-Page High School in Montreal. To commemorate Ekushey February and International Language Day, the event will showcase a selection of newly published Bangla books, a cultural program, a seminar, and an award ceremony. Participants can explore the latest literary works, engage with authors, and purchase books from local vendors.

Enjoy a captivating evening of Bangla cultural performances, including music, dance, and poetry. A special seminar will delve into the significance of Ekushey February and the importance of preserving the Bangla language and heritage.

Toronto Bangladesh Mela

Toronto Bangladesh Mela will be held in Birchmount Stadium. The fair will include many stalls/both with Bangladeshi products – saree, cloths, fashion items, jewelry, gift items, toys. Many stalls will sell various types of Bangladeshi street food. Bangladeshi musicians, singer and performers will entertain the crowd. Some mystery guests will come from Bangladesh! Lucky winners may win big at the raffle draw! Free parking at the nearby parking lot.

Vorer Alo Bangla Mela (ভোরের আলো বাংলা মেলা) – the annual street fair of Bangladeshi community in Montreal and all things Bangladeshi. The event is free to all. Yamee food, cake stall, cloth stall, jewelry booth, travel agency stall, book stall, community stall, and more. Come and enjoy easy shopping, great music, energetic dance, free ride for children, comedy sketch and more.
