Nazrul Convention 2016

Nazrul Convention 2016 or 16th North America Nazrul Convention will be held in New York. The aim of the convention is to introduce life, philosophy and literary works of Kazi Nazrul Islam to new generation of Bangladeshi children and young. The event will be organized by Sotodal in cooperation with Jamaica Bangladesh Friends Society. Many Bangladeshi cultural organizations are expected to attend. Local artists and artists from Bangladesh and India are expected to join at the Nazrul Convention 2016. Programs include essay on Nazrul Islam, discussion, dance, songs, recitation, art, drawing etc. The event is free to attend.

The convention has a cultural competition for children. Children can participate in three age groups: 6-9, 10-14 and 15-18. Children can compete on Bangla poetry recitation, drawing, essay writing, music and dance category. Contacts for children’s competition registration:
