National Mourning Day – Doa & Milad Mahfil. The event is organized by Bangladesh Society. Local Awami League leaders, supporters, member of the society will be present at the event. The event is free and all are welcome to participate.
In Bangladesh, August 15 is observed as National Mourning Day. On this day in 1975, a group of junior army officers killed Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and most of his family. Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was the first President of Bangladesh, he is regarded as the Father of the Nation.
