Eyes On Bangladesh – Photo Exhibition
Regular exhibition hours 10 am – 10 pm

The Eyes on Bangladesh Exhibition will showcase the work of nine noted Bengali photographers together in New York City for the first time. This project offers a vision of Bangladesh not often seen in the west, and begins a dialogue between first and second generation Bangladeshis in the process. Featured photographers include: Rashid Talukder, Taslima Akhter, Munem Wasif, Jannatul Mawa, Shumon Ahmed, Saikat Mojumder, Sarkar Protick and Rasel Chowdhury.

4:15 pm – 5:30 pm : Bridging the Gap
Take part in a discussion with a panel of five immigrant parents and five second generation children about their various experiences. This session will be led by writer, activist, and cofounder of Jahajee Sisters, Shabana Sharif.

6:00 pm – 8:00 pm :  Asian American Writers’ Workshop Presents Bangladesh: 1,000 Words
Join us for a special literary evening with our friends from the AAWW! Celina Su, Wah-Ming Chang, Sunil Yapa, Sunu Chandy, Alaudin Ullah, and Jordan Alam will be using the photographs as prompts for original work.

All events are FREE and open to the public.
