Brooklyn Bangladesh Street Fair, 2025

The Brooklyn Bangladesh Street Fair, scheduled for Saturday, May 31st, 2025, will be held in the Church McDonald area of Brooklyn. This is also known as the Church-McDonald Bangladesh Mela or ‘Brooklyn Bangla Pothomela‘. The Bangladesh-American Friendship Society of New York organizes the event with the 66th Precinct Community Council. Many Bangladeshi community organizations and businesses will cosponsor the event.

The street fair showcases Bangladeshi cultural heritage, food, clothing, and children’s activities. The event promises to be delightful with exciting activities such as raffle draws, live music, shopping, and mouthwatering food. Local Bangladeshi cultural performers will grace the occasion with their performances, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all ages. Bangladeshi businesses will sponsor the publication of a Bangla magazine to celebrate this special occasion.

The event is free and open to all, and everyone is welcome.
