Boishakhi Mela & Baul Karim Festival

To celebrate Bangla New Year of 2016, Bioshakhi Mela (বৈশাখী মেলা) and Baul Karim Festival (বাউল করিম উৎসব) will be organized by Jamaica Bangladesh Friends Society, NY. The event is an annual Bangladeshi cultural festival in New York. Free and all are welcome with family and friends.

Program include:

• Panta Illis (পান্তা ইলিশ),  12:00 noon – 1:00 pm
• Bioshakhi Parade, 1:30 pm
• Songs of Shah Abdul Karim and documentary on life and work of Baul
• Dress-up in Bangalee/Bangladeshi traditional dress
• Fashion show by Sitara Boutique
• Live music by local singers
• Cultural event and competition for children etc.
