Muhammadi Center (also known as Mohammadi Community Center) is a Bangladeshi Islamic community center in Jackson Heights, New York. Founded in 2005, it is primarily used for Islamic, religious, spiritual, and educational activities. The center can also be rented as a party center for similar events.
Community Services of the center extends to all people regardless of their religious background. People in need of help can approach including personal problems, family counseling (parents-children/husband-wife/sibling-sibling/any relationship), children’s issues, social disputes, third-party counseling (possible solutions before going to court), etc. Muhammadi Center can also help solemnize Islamic matrimony.
In cooperation with other community organizations, the center organizes legal clinics, housing seminars, tax filings, etc., to assist low-income people in New York.
Muhammadi Center’s activities also include:
- Muslim Prayer Service: 5 times a day
- Jamat: Regular Friday prayer and other festival prayers
- Dua Mahfil for special needs
- Taweez
- Wazeefa Istikhara
- After-School Program via Al-Azhar Tutorial
- Bangla, Urdu, and Arabic Language Classes
- Hifzul Quran Classes for adults
- Celebrations: (Eid-e-Miladunnabi, Ashura, Khatmul Quran, Milad Mahfil, Shab-e-Baraat, Shab-e-Qadr, Eesal-e-Sawaab, etc.)
- Anti-Terrorism Awareness Unit
