The organization is funded through subscriptions, donations, grants from the Bangladeshi community, and the Australian Government. The Bangladesh Society of Sydney promotes unity and harmony among the Bangladeshi community residing in Australia and among upcoming migrants, students, and professionals in Australia, by providing social, cultural, educational, and job-related information.

Rockdale Bangla School
The Bangladesh Cultural School (BCS) also operates a Bangla school, established in 2005, which provides the next generation of Bangladeshi-Australian children with a strong foundation in Bangladeshi cultural identity. This identity is deeply rooted in language, art, music, and tradition. BCS actively contributes to Australia’s multicultural environment by fostering connections between language and culture. The classes are held every Sunday from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
