Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan (BCCIJ) was established in 2007 as the Bangladesh Merchants Association and later became the current BCCIJ. It is a free and independent organization that promotes business interaction and information exchange for its members.
As a business networking hub, the Chamber organizes trade and investment meetings, discussion forums with Japanese and Bangladeshi ministers, and business and investment seminars. BCCIJ aims to foster better trade and investment between Bangladesh and Japan, creating new employment opportunities and prosperity for both countries through bilateral trade and exchange.
Objectives
- to promote, protect, and strengthen bilateral trade and commerce between Bangladesh and Japan;
- to foster investment, joint ventures, research, and development in both countries; and
- to maintain close ties with traders, including the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) and relevant government organizations.
