Programs and Activities

Empowerment & Education:

    • Represent new or first-generation Bangladeshi women: This involves advocating for and giving a voice to Bangladeshi women who are recent immigrants or the first in their families to be born and raised in the United States, addressing their unique challenges and needs.
    • Organize English language classes: These classes are designed to help Bangladeshi women improve their English proficiency, which is crucial for integration into society, accessing services, and employment opportunities.
    • Offer “Know Your Rights” information sessions: These sessions educate Bangladeshi women about their legal rights and protections in the United States, covering topics such as employment law, housing rights, and personal safety, empowering them to navigate their lives with greater confidence.

Support & Assistance:

    • Assist women facing domestic violence: This provides crucial support, resources, and guidance to Bangladeshi women who are victims of domestic violence, helping them find safety, legal aid, and counseling.
    • Help with Legal Needs: This offers assistance with various legal issues that Bangladeshi women may encounter, including immigration matters, family law, and other civil legal concerns.
