Founded in 2009, Bangla School of Regina has always strived to keep the Bangla language vibrant and alive among the Bangladeshi community, ensuring that children learn Bangla as their mother tongue. As one of the most widely spoken languages in the world, with nearly 300 million speakers, Bangla School of Regina feels a moral obligation and social responsibility to actively promote and preserve the Bangla language.
Program Overview
The Bangla School of Regina offers comprehensive language instruction in Bangla, alongside related subjects.
Curriculum:
- Focuses on four key language skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
- Includes a textbook, workbook, online script tutor, and access to online audio/video resources.
- Supplementary handout materials are provided as needed.
- Aims to enable students to:
- Perform simple communicative tasks in social situations.
- Understand and express views on everyday life.
- Communicate effectively with Bangla speakers (including family members).
- Consistently read Bangla texts addressing basic personal and social needs.
- Comprehend Bangla books and grasp main ideas.
- Ultimately, the program seeks to enhance fluency with family members and foster respect among linguistic students.
Course Structure:
- Each semester is four months long.
- Consists of 15 classes.
- One final exam is administered at the end of each semester.

Final Exam: 30%
Grading Scale:
69% or less: Unacceptable and constitutes failure.
70 – 75%: Poor or minimally acceptable
76 – 80%: Fair but below expectations
81 – 85%: Satisfactory
86 – 90%: Good
91 – 95%: Very good
96 – 100%: Excellent

Bangla School of Regina offers three academic levels of admission:
Beginner level: Textbook 1 Let’s Learn Bangla
