Toronto Bangla School, founded in 2016 by the Bangladeshi-Canadian Community in Toronto, aims to preserve the legacy of Bangladeshi culture, traditions, history, and heritage for the next generation of Bangladeshi children. The school also aims to contribute to greater linguistic and cultural diversity in Canada.
Children learn the Bangla language, including reading, writing, and speaking, as well as drawing, painting, rhyming, poem recitation, singing, and dancing. The classes are enjoyable, friendly, and designed to encourage children to learn about Bangladesh through immersive activities. The school organizes and celebrates various cultural and historical events associated with Bangladesh, such as Pahela Boishakh and Victory Day, to introduce children to Bangladeshi culture. Other activities include BBQs, family Days out, picnics, sports, etc.
Toronto Bangla School’s admission fee for each child is $50. Classes are held every Saturday from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.
