Darussalaam Cemetery is a Bangladeshi Muslim cemetery in Bargo, close to Campbelltown, NSW, Australia. The 114-acre cemetery, an initiative of Darussalaam Welfare Center, was conceived to provide the Bangladeshi community with an affordable graveyard and burial service.
Darussalaam Cemetery offers Bangladeshi families the opportunity to purchase cemetery plots in bulk. Unlike other cemeteries, it offers single graves, avoiding the controversial double-grave practice. It also ensures proper burial according to Islamic rituals. Furthermore, it has reserved 16,000 burial plots for pioneers, ensuring proximity for families. The cemetery offers affordable prices, nearly one-fourth of the cost of other cemeteries. A pioneer family can secure four dedicated burial plots for a modest fee of $5,000.
