Founded in 2012, Dhaka Club of Florida, Inc. is a non-profit and non-political organization of the Bangladeshi community living in Florida, USA. The club was created to introduce and celebrate Bangladeshi heritage and culture to the younger generation of Bangladeshi Americans.
Activities of Dhaka Club of Florida
- Organize and get together Bangladeshi cultural events, such as Boishakhi, Bangla New Year, etc.
- Organize and get together Islamic cultural events – Eid festival celebrations, Ramadan, Iftar parties, etc.
- Organize Bangladeshi national events – Bangladeshi Independence Day, International Mother Language Day, etc.
- Celebrate Bangladeshi talents such as poetry nights, solo singer’s events, dance nights, book readings, etc.
- Organize events to help Bangladeshis find and prepare for jobs.
- Organize consulate service for the Bangladeshi community living in Florida.
- Showcase younger Bangladeshi Americans’ talents.
- Celebrate American national events like New Year, Memorial Day, 4th of July, etc.
- Organize donations drive to raise money via the Deshi Winter Festival, etc.
