American Bangladeshi Community Help (ABCH), a nonprofit organization established in 2019, serves the Bangladeshi American community in New York City. Initially formed as a Facebook group, ABCH has become a more formal organization. ABCH’s primary objective is to provide essential resources such as food, employment opportunities, education, and other necessities to underprivileged members of the Bangladeshi American community in the USA and Bangladesh.

Many activities in Bangladesh are focused on various districts. Donations and zakat are collected to distribute cash, food, winter clothing, and school supplies to Bangladesh’s poor, vulnerable, and disadvantaged individuals and families.

ABCH is run by a team of volunteers who are passionate about helping others. The organization has a variety of programs and services, including:

  • Food Bank: ABCH provides food to families in need
  • Job Search: ABCH offers job search, reference, and placement services
  • Education: ABCH provides scholarships and tutoring to students by collecting donations
  • Other Necessities: ABCH provides necessities, such as clothing and shelter, to those in need.
