Dr. Alam Foundation, USA

Dr. Alam Foundation, USA Inc. is a Bangladeshi charitable organization based in New York, USA. It was founded in 2010 as a nonpolitical, nonreligious, nonracial and charitable organization to help poor people of Bangladesh by providing education and vocational training. The prime aim of the foundation to make people self-dependent so that they can get rid of the cycle of poverty, defend human dignity and help others. Dr. Alam Foundation is registered in both USA (EIN#46-2041071) and Bangladesh (SWD/Jhal-529/12).

Dr. Alam Foundation, USA has the following objectives:

1. To provide education and training to the orphans, underprivileged, and neglected children, youth, and women.
2. To establish residential schools, Literary centers, vocational training centers, for the least fortunate children, youths, and women
3. To award scholarships and stipends to the talented students for their education and training where preference to be given to the poor and needy students.
4. To provide educational equipment and accessories to the educational institutions and vocational training centers to improve skilled labor
5. To provide health education and primary care health care for mother and child
6. To offer emergency relief to the victims of natural or man-made disasters when and wherever needed
7. To provide opportunities and financial aids to the poor working class people, especially to the poor cultivators and fisherman for their socio-economic development
8. To eradicate child labor from society, provide shelters, education, and training to the children, and to provide financial aid to their parents to create their self employment opportunities as poverty is the main cause of child labor
9. To generate awareness for alarming health issues for AIDS, drugs, and corruptions
10. To generate awareness regarding environment and the impact of global warming and provide help to the unemployed youths to establish horticulture farms and nurseries to supply seeds and seedlings of plants to the people
11. To provide adult education and training for cottage industries to the rural unemployed people and to create employment opportunities
12. To publish brochures, magazines, journals, and make videos and short films to propagate and promote the activities of Dr. Alam Foundation
13. To cooperate with other organizations of same nature and objectives
14. To develop social responsibility to awards to the best social workers who will take care for compassion
15. To promote love and compassion through mutual help and cooperation to develop better human relation among people at large without any discrimination of race, gender, and religion
16. To promote and propagate tolerance and respect among all faiths and all religions
