Business Description

Imdad-Sitara Khan Foundation is a Bangladeshi not-for-profit organization with its office in California, USA. The organization’s entire operation is based in Bangladesh. The Imdad-Sitara Khan Foundation was established in Bangladesh under the patronage of the Khan Family Foundation in 2003. The foundation operates ten Kidney Dialysis Centers (one each in Dhaka, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Bogra, Kushtia, Dinajpur, Moulvibazar, Chittagong, Barisal, and Khulna) to facilitate End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) treatment for financially challenged patients in Bangladesh. It also collects dialysis machines from US donors and sends them to Bangladesh.

The Khan Family Foundation, established in the United States in 2003 by expatriate Bangladeshi Dr. Imdad H. Khan and his wife, Mrs. Sitara A. Khan, has donated funds to numerous philanthropic organizations worldwide. The foundation has funded scholarships for meritorious yet financially needy students to pursue studies in engineering, medicine, and science in Bangladesh.

Initially, the foundation relied solely on the Khan Family Foundation in the USA for funding. However, starting from 2009, it expanded its network in Bangladesh by securing financial support from various individuals and organizations, both international and local. However, donors can contribute to the foundation’s mission by making a donation through the organization’s website.
