Business Description
The Sumaira Foundation aims to generate global awareness and offer support for patients with Neuromyelitis Optica (NMO) – a rare autoimmune disease affecting the optic nerves and spinal chord. The foundation was founded in 2015 by Sumaira Ahmed – a Bangladeshi American living in Boston.
Activities of Sumaira Foundation:
- Raise awareness about Neuromyelitis Optica disease
- Organize fundraising event
- Provide information about NMO doctors, hospitals
- Develop support network for patients and their families
- Contribute to research and development
