DESCRIPTION:Bangladesh Academy of Fine Arts\, commonly known as\, BAFA will organize dance drama ‘Chandalika‘ of Rabindranath Tagore. Written in 1938\, the theme of Chandalika is female desire in an untouchable girl. The play is the realization by a chandal (untouchable) girl that she is a human being like others\, and that it is a mistaken on her part to think herself beneath the notice of human beings who belong to upper castes. The drama is directed by Anup Kumar Das.
