SUMMARY:Bangladesh Memory Project
DESCRIPTION:The  Bangladeshi Historical Memory Project and the Queens Museum will observe Bangladesh Memory Project through political theatre\, art\, drama\, music etc. in Jackson Heights\, New York. This event is an opportunity for everyone to see the vibrant Bangladeshi community\, its vibe\, activities and resilience of Bangladeshi people in general. The event will have alpona by Amrin Zakaria\, live painting by Shurmmi M; demonstration how to drape a saree\, instruction about how to cook Bangladeshi cuisine with Jhal NYC. Bangladesh Memory Project will also include a live performances by The Feringhees\, Zarrin Maisha and the Bangladeshi Historical Memory Project jatra troupe at 4 pm. \nThis event is free\, open to the public\, and family friendly! \nFunding support for activities at Diversity Plaza are provided by the NYC Department of Transportation’s One NYC Plaza Equity Program.
