DESCRIPTION:Naree Shongothok (Women Organizing)\, a collective of community organizers of Bangladeshi descent will celebrate Bangladeshi Independence Day Celebration 2017 in New York through art and activism for positive social change. The event\, ‘Shadhinota‘\, will honor Bangladesh Independence Day with a special focus to Bangladeshi women’s history during the liberation war of Bangladesh and aftermath. The event will celebrate Bangladeshi women’s liberation through art\, culture\, activism\, exploring labor\, gender\, violence and migration.
