DESCRIPTION:On the eve of 2nd anniversary of the Rana Plaza factory building collapse in Dhaka\, several New York based Bangladeshi community organizations will gather to express their support and solidarity with Bangladesh garment workers. The groups will rally to protest Bangladesh’s terrible working conditions\, demand for compensation for dead workers. Children’s Place\, GAP\, Sears\, Vans\, Walmart and other US garments retailers profiting enormously by producing fashion clothing by paying the lowest amount to Bangladesh garment workers who have been working long hours in an unhealthy\, appalling and sometimes dangerous working conditions. Even after one of the deadliest garment-factory accident in history\, these companies have been refusing to sign contracts protecting workers safety.
