Transitions: New Photography from Bangladesh

Transitions: New Photography from Bangladesh is an exhibition of nine Bangladeshi photographers whose work reflects a diverse group of people, shifting economies, and changing lands. Its aim is to not only to collect and exhibit photography as art; but also as ideas about the country of Bangladesh. The event is presented by the Bangladeshi American Creative Collective (BACC).

Participating photographers include Arfun Ahmed, Taslima Akhter, Debashish Chakrabarty, Rasel Chowdhury, Samsul Alam Helal, Jannatul Mawa, Manir Mrittrik, Saikat Mojumder, and Tapash Paul.

With the rise of factories, investors, and development, the landscape of Bangladesh is changing. The spotlight has been turned on, and the people are trying to figure out what it means for them. This exhibition will feature nine Bangladeshi photographers whose work reflects a diverse group of people, shifting economies, and changing lands. Its aim is to not only to collect and exhibit photography as art; but also as ideas about the country of Bangladesh.

Transitions: New Photography from Bangladesh will be held for four months from October 15, 2015 to February 14, 2016. Exhibition is open five days a week:

The event is FREE to attend and open to all ages.
