New York Film Center

New York Film Center was created in 2007 by Bangladeshi community living in New York to exchange views and thoughts through the eyes of filmic language from around the world. The primary goal of New York Film Center is to nourish and flourish rare and uncommon contemporary films and bring them to Bangladeshi community’s movie connoisseurs. In 2013, New York Film Center had its 1st film festival which was dedicated to filmmaker late Tareque Masud and cinematographer late Mishuk Munier, both from Bangladesh. New York Film Center is growing up along with its own small community and endeavors to focus on critically acclaimed films, which are made, especially, in South Asia in the near future. In 2014, the Center held its 2nd film festival.
