Sneha

Sneha is an organization of sisterhood of South Asian women in West Hartford, Connecticut. Founded in 1983 and registered in 1998, Sneha works primarily with Bangladeshi, Pakistani, Indian, Sri Lankan, Afghani and Nepalese women but it open to all women regardless of ethnicity, nationality, age, race, religion, color, cultural background, sexual orientation, gender identity. The organization supports and provides referrals to women of South Asian origin in Connecticut, especially survivors of domestic violence, and to encourage dialogue about such cultural topics as immigration, inter-generational communication, and financial independence. The organization is a 100% volunteer based 501(C)(3) not-for-profit organization, which runs through by the support and work of its dedicated board members and general members. Other funding comes from annual fundraising event, donation etc.
