Shapla Sports Initiative, located in Bradford, was created to help the Bangladeshi community in the city get involved in sport, by providing them with opportunities for development in a number of different activities. The initiative helps Bangladeshi kids to learn and practice cricket, soccer, tennis, badminton, etc. The club organizes a variety of grassroots playing initiatives and competitive events for local boys and girls. Because of its contribution to the community, Shapla Sports was recognized with the British Ethnic Diversity Sports Awards (BEDSAs).
