Surbahar Bangladesh Cultural Academy was established in 2002 in Jamaica, New York, to teach music, dance and Bangla language to new generation of Bangladeshi-American children and youth. The academy works to bring out the best in students’ personal and creative potential. The academy also organizes cultural events and celebrates various Bangla festivals. Since 2005, the academy is a registered not-for-profit organization in New York State.
The academy has classes on music, dance, Bangla language, cooking, etc.
