Participatory Budgeting – New York City Council

This year, New York City Council Members will ask residents to decide how to spend over $25 million in their neighborhoods through participatory budgeting. Council Members each allocate at least $1 million in discretionary capital funding to be decided upon by district residents.

Voting will take place April 11 – 19. The citywide voting age is 16 years old, and some districts have lowered the minimum voting age to 14 years old.
