International Mother Language Day Seminar

FreeInternational Mother Language Day Seminar on ‘Language Movement 1947-1956’. The seminar will discuss the Bangla Language Movement, also known as the Language Movement/ভাষা আন্দোলন – a political movement in former East Pakistan (today Bangladesh) advocating the recognition of the Bangla language as an official language of Pakistan in order to allow its use in government affairs, the continuation of its use as a medium of education, its use in media, currency and stamps, and to maintain its writing in the Bangla script.
Bangla poetry recitation and songs will be part of the event. All are welcome to join.
The seminar is organized by Ekushey Chetna Parishad, USA.
