Bangladesh Independence Day, Jackson Heights

Bangladeshi community will observe and celebrate Bangladesh Independence Day (স্বাধীনতা দিবস/Shadhinota Dibos) on March 26th in Jackson Heights, New York. The aim of the program is to help Bangladeshi community living in New York City to commemorate and recollect Independence Day of Bangladesh with many activities all day long. Many Bangladeshi community organizations based in Queens, New York are expected to participate with the principal organizer of the event, Muktadhara Foundation.
The event is free and open to all communities.
- Adult cultural program (music, recitation, dance, etc.)
- Children’s cultural competition
- Colorful parade and procession
- Flower wrath presentation
- Honoring Bangladeshi Freedom Fighters
- Conversation about Bangladesh War, etc.
