Probashi Bengali Christian Association (PBCA) is a non-profit 501(C)(3) social organization of all Bengali Christians living in the tri-state area of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. It is involved in organizing social activities such as get-togethers and cultural programs, picnic during summer and graduation programs, prayers etc. Probashi is committed to welfare of the community. Community concerns are its’ first priority.
Probashi Bengali Christian Association tries to establish communion between Bengali Christian families by organizing get-togethers, by nurturing family values and by encouraging members of future generation for good social, cultural, intellectual and spiritual growth. Annual Christmas / New Year get-together usually starts with prayer followed by a cultural-variety show performed by the family and friends of Probashi. Variety show includes recitation of poetry, drama, traditional dances, music and songs performed by individuals or groups, comedy, fashion shows, raffle etc. In the get-together for the graduation program, recognition, encouragement and warm supports are given to the newly college-graduating members.
