Empowering Development Project (EDP) is a not-for-profit organization of Bangladeshi community living in New York City. The organization was founded in 2015. The principal aim of the EDP is to build skilled manpower by providing training. The organization provides English language class, basic computer training, tailoring training, fashion design class, restaurant catering class, small business advice, cooking class, handicraft class. Empowering Development Project (EDP) wants to translate its training into employable jobs for all training recipients. Empowering Development Project also offers cultural sensitivity training.
Membership fee is $50-$100. Members can get training, certificate and help to get licenses for respective occupation.
